RugOwners.com is the official platform of the Rug Owners Association (ROA), designed to serve as a trusted, non-commercial bridge between rug owners and rug service providers across North America. ROA supports individuals involved in buying, selling, cleaning, repairing, restoring, appraising, or simply owning rugs. It does not sell rugs or perform services directly but helps users access these services with expert guidance and quality control.
Consultation and Evaluation
ROA offers all rug owners a free consultation with a Persian rug expert. These experts assess the rug's condition, clarify the owner's needs, and recommend suitable solutions. Consultations are available online or in-person where coverage allows. The evaluation ensures that owners understand what their rug truly requires before committing to any service or spending.
Expert Project Management
When a rug owner chooses to proceed with cleaning, repair, or restoration, ROA assigns a dedicated project manager to oversee the entire journey. This expert handles rug inspection, selects the most appropriate service provider, negotiates a fair price, tracks progress daily, ensures service quality, and communicates with the owner at every stage. This hands-on management relieves the customer from the stress of follow-ups, uncertainty, and upselling.
Matching with Trusted Providers
ROA carefully matches each rug with a suitable rug company (RC) based on the type of rug, service required, specialty, and location. RCs are only selected after verification, documentation checks, and service quality review. ROA regularly monitors the performance of its service partners and does not allow unverified or substandard providers to participate in the network.
Service Coverage and Expansion
The platform currently provides service coverage in Oregon, California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Washington, with plans to expand to more states and provinces. Rug owners in covered regions can receive on-site evaluation, pickup and delivery, and full-service management. Users outside current zones may still access expert consultations and learning resources, and can request updates when service becomes available in their area.
Buying, Selling, and Trading Rugs
ROA helps rug owners buy or sell rugs through a structured process. Sellers receive help preparing their rugs for sale, including cleaning and minor repairs. ROA takes professional photographs and lists the rug on its platform. Buyers receive expert guidance to avoid scams, lowball offers, or overpriced listings. Owners may also trade in their old rugs or place them in ROA's consignment program. Every listing is backed by expert verification and quality guarantees for buyer confidence.
Appraisals and Valuation
ROA provides certified rug appraisals by skilled Persian rug experts. These appraisals reflect true market value and are suitable for insurance, resale, or personal records. Depending on membership tier, some appraisals may be free or discounted. All appraisal services are conducted on-site when possible, with proper documentation issued to the rug owner.
Membership Tiers and Benefits
ROA offers two membership levels: Free and Premium. All members receive free expert consultation and access to rug education content. Premium members enjoy free pickup and delivery, project management, guaranteed quality, discounted services, certified appraisals, and access to exclusive deals. ROA members fall into two categories: those who use consultation only, and those who use full services like selling, restoration, or buying rugs. Each category receives tailored benefits based on use level and plan type.
Reward Credits and Incentives
ROA features a reward system where members earn USD-based credits for every invoice, referral, or positive review. Credits can be used to reduce the cost of future rug services. Credit earnings scale with invoice amounts and include birthday bonuses and referral-based earnings. All credits are visible in the user’s account dashboard and remain valid for up to two years. Credits cannot be converted to cash and are non-transferable, but they can significantly reduce future spending.
Installment Plans and Payment Flexibility
To make rug care more accessible, ROA offers flexible installment plans with no interest or credit checks. Rug owners pay only 20% upfront, and the balance is split into equal monthly payments based on the total invoice amount. The number of installments ranges from two to ten, depending on the value of the services rendered. This program ensures that even high-quality services are financially manageable.
